How the system works
When Cumbre Vieja erupts on La Palma you will be sent a message asking you to stand by.
If a landslide is triggered on La Palma by the eruption we will text you three times at 10 minute intervals (charged at standard rates).
When you do receive the three alerts it will not be a drill, it will be the real thing. We have a series of fail safes in place to ensure that a false alarm is not possible.
We are the only people who will contact you on your Cell Phone personally, 24 Hours a day, anywhere in the world.
This is possibly the cheapest warning system you will ever get, and please remember, we are supporting the children’s charity UNICEF.
